I've skied Tahoe, at Sierra, Squaw, Heavenly and Kirkwood. The most convientant hill is Heavenly for folks staying near stateline or the casinos.
If you stay south by the Y, then you can hit Sqauw, Kirkwood, Sierra within 1/2 hour from most of the condo rentals.
But from the bay area, great same day trips can be done to Bear and Dodge Ridge. Dodge Ridge is a little more family oriented but has great slopes for beginners and is about 2 1/2 hours drive, about 15 mins less than Bear.
I have a season pass for Heavenly, so count me in on any trips to tahoe.

Sun, January 23, 2005 - 9:31 PMI would be down for any trips to Tahoe...will try my two left feet a skiing again....to see if I don't fall down so much...but staying in a hot tub and drinking hot buttered rum...not too bad even for those of us who don't ski...let me know when it's a go.... -
